Were they sitting down to play Catacombs?

    • Dale Yu says:

Yeah, but they’re Canadian… maybe they do it differently there! (For the record, that’s Rob Bartel, designer of Two by Two amongst others – and Jay Cormier, designer of Belfort and Train of Thought)

  2. Scott Russell says:

    That last game looks dangerous!

    • Dale Yu says:

It is definitely better played sitting down. Much more so than Catacombs. The cask strength Talisker was a brutal final round choice at 57.3% ABV.

Some Lagavulin after a long day of gaming sounds great.

    • Dale Yu says:

My current favorite, Auchentoshan Three Wood, was not present, but yes, this was one of the best ways to end the night – over a few drinks with good friends

      • r3gamer says:

Wow. The name alone sounds interesting. Will check it out.

One of my other favs… The Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban. But i do enjoy the “peaty” ones like Lagavulin.

        • Dale Yu says:

As far as peaty goes, you can see one of my favorite peaty ones in the picture (After Bruichladdich) which is Nikka Yoichi. It’s actually a Japanese single-malt whisky – can’t be called Scotch. They don’t have any distribution in the US, but they do in Canada, so it was nice to get a hold of some while I was there.
