Feeling Lucky about Azul? Possible Perfect Stocking Stuffer for your Game Crazy friends…
Well, around here, many people celebrate St. Nicholas’ Day (traditionally December 6) – this is a day where people get a stocking filled with well… stocking stuffers. One of the things that is seen a lot in Ohio is a handful of scratch-off lottery tickets. They’re small, they’re inexpensive, and occasionally, they can buy you a car!
As I was surfing around the internet, I found an amazing instant lottery ticket that is currently being offered in Quebec. Yeah, when I saw it, I thought this was a joke – but it really does appear to be official! (https://loteries.lotoquebec.com/en/lotteries/azul )
That’s right – a scratch off lottery based on a boardgame! Who would have thought this was possible. With a bit more investigation, like any good boardgame related object, they have posted the rules online for you to peruse – so that you can make an informed decision before you buy….
Look at the odds – 1 in 3.3!  Heck, I’d love to get a game at random and have a theoretical 64% payoff!
It seems pretty straightforward. Not much for the rules lawyers to argue about. And let’s face it, since this is a lottery ticket, i’m pretty sure that the Quebec Lottery Lawyers have already scoured the rules for loopholes and squashed them…
So what does the ticket/game look like?
Sure, the game has a bunch of French on it – but really, it’s not like having a game printed entirely in German has ever stopped you from trying to play it!
So, if you’re looking for the perfect stocking stuffer for your gaming friends, look no further than this Azul lottery ticket. Sure, you’ll have to go to Quebec to get one, and heck, if you win, you’ll have to go back to claim your prize. But – Montreal is a great town, and man, I could eat a Montreal Meat sandwich every day!

I suppose if that doesn’t work – and if you had a big enough stocking, you could just give them original game ( https://amzn.to/3lmOy1V ) or maybe the Azul themed card game version of 5211… ( https://amzn.to/3d1D8Mz )
Until your next appointment
