Pandemic held on for the third year running – way to go, Matt Leacock. (I don’t think it will remain there for a fourth year, but I do think it will remain on the list.) Small World showed almost no drop in Nickels… and what with the new expansion coming, I think that it has a position on this list securely locked down. Agricola “hangs on” by dropping just a single place – man, I wish I got to play Agricola 5+ times per year!
Here’s how I did predicting last year: I was wrong about Puerto Rico (it didn’t fall off the list), mostly wrong about Ticket to Ride & Roll Through the Ages (they really didn’t slide much at all) and right only about Endeavor saying “bye-bye.” Not good this time around.
My predictions for this year:
- Macao will not be back… nor will Forbidden Island.
- Pandemic will drop unless the rumored second expansion appears.
- Small World should pretty much stay where it is.
- Race for the Galaxy may climb back a bit with the new expansion.
