Hello from Essen: Tuesday night

Just arrived in Essen. A smattering of people getting ready for the fair.  Met a few old friends and chatted.

The first game this year is Camel Up Cards. It takes the board game and converts it to all cards. There is a new bit of bidding as you can now bid on which Camel is in the middle of the pack.  The players also get to determine the composition of the racing deck, and this is interesting in itself. The card money takes a bit of getting used to, but it’s a clever thing to do in order to make all the bits on cards.

Sorry for the glare. My picture taking skills were never the best.

Here’s the game stack so far

The other great thing – went back to the usual pizza place, and the guy still recognized me and knew that I ate Doner Pide for dinner.  Yum!
